Who We Are

The role of the Primary years (K-Grade 4) is to build a solid foundation of academic knowledge, social and emotional intelligence, and, most importantly, character and spiritual development based on our true example who is Christ.

What We Do

Our teachers desire that students fall in love with learning through rich and engaging learning opportunities.  A strong emphasis on Early Literacy requires a comprehensive program based on the Four Blocks of Literacy: guided reading, self-selected reading, writing, and working on words.

The Math program in the primary years begins with Mindful Math, a program designed to encourage mental math skills and thinking through math concepts rather than just memorizing them.  Students move to Saxon Math in Grades 3 and 4 which is a cyclical curriculum that contains spiral review to ensure mastery of each concept.  Students benefit from games, hands-on tasks, manipulative and math stories which engage and extend the learning.

In Science and Social Studies, units of study are designed to develop each student’s biblical worldview through inquiry, project-based learning and cross-curricular learning adventures, all while mastering the curriculum.

P.E., Music, Drama and Art programs are also integral parts of the academic curriculum, offering all students different opportunities to stretch themselves and discover their talents.

Our Christian Schools International Bible curriculum encourages students and teachers alike to walk with God in the classroom. The curriculum builds on Old Testament and New Testament knowledge across the grades.

Each area of our curriculum also gives students opportunities for social-emotional development, problem-solving, collaboration, creativity, fostering healthy relationships with their peers, and, most importantly, pointing students to look to Jesus as their friend and Savior
